Movies on Southwest Airlines: May 2020
Good morning Penny Pinchers! Following up on the last post we have the available films on Southwest for the month of May. This post will be a little complicated as we will try to guess what exactly happened in April with the films (if anybody travelled in April and can shed some light, please do!)
New Movies
Let’s start with the new movies.
There are 8 new movies in May. 1917, Just Mercy, Star Wars, Arctic Dogs, Cats, Dark Waters, Frozen II and The Good Liar.
All Movies
So 58 movies in total. Now I am going to tell you what has been around in previous months, so you can try to guess what will expire soon depending on how long each film has been running on Southwest Airlines. Again for a direct comparison see the previous post from March.

So looking at this list and comparing it to the previous post in March, the following titles expired.
- Aladdin: (sad about this, as I wanted to watch Will Smith as the genie)
- Toy Story 4: (Didn’t last very long)
- Yesterday: (Also missed out on this)
We won’t know when these titles expired (either end of March or end of April). It does look like there was limited expiration and limited new titles in April and May though, quite possibly due to the current situation. However, this may change once we hit June.
So there you have the list of titles and how long they have been around for. Which movie will you watch?
Have a great weekend!
